
The Berstein Family Foundation is a Philadelphia-area philanthropy that has supported a diverse variety of school-based programming in areas such as college access and mental/behavioral health. The Foundation’s priorities are to support community-based programming embedded in schools in areas such as academic enrichment, student wellbeing, and access to college and career. The Foundation has partnered with Envoy, a social-impact consulting firm, to help oversee the administration, management, and growth of the Foundation’s investment strategies and grantmaking efforts, including the Principal Partnership Grant Program.

Summary of Programs
Principal Partnership Grant Program
Jeff served as president and CEO of ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists for more than twenty years, helping it grow from a small, one-plant textile rental operation into today’s business with more than sixty locations and over three thousand employees. Today, ImageFIRST is by far the largest supplier of healthcare linen services in the United States. In 2018, the Berstein family sold a controlling interest in ImageFIRST to a leading middle market private equity firm. In 2020, after grooming his successor, Jeff stepped aside from the CEO role and moved into a role as Vice Chairman of ImageFIRST. Today, Jeff enjoys investing in teams and providing them with the tools they need to generate breakthrough results. Besides his role at ImageFIRST, Jeff is involved in numerous business ventures and is active in the family foundation and other charitable endeavors. He enjoys boating, skiing, physical fitness, travel, and spending time with his family and friends in suburban Philadelphia and Florida.
Core Grant Program
The Core Grant Program supports local Philadelphia-based nonprofits that are supporting vulnerable youth and their families in the areas of trauma and wellness, academic enrichment, post-secondary success, and educational training & leadership. The Foundation aims to provide organizations and service providers with grants to help them sustain programming, build internal capacity, invest in new strategic endeavors, and/or other areas of organizational priority. The Foundation aims to invest in the vision of outstanding leaders, while ensuring the continual measurement of evidence-based programs.

Lucas Berstein
In 2012, Lucas founded InTune Analytics and over the past decade, Lucas has built a company that invests in people and creates value inside and outside the organization. ​A born leader with a curious spirit and a hunger to learn, he blends his entrepreneurial experience with his passion for live entertainment to lead his company and develop products that shape the industry. ​As a leader, Lucas stands out for his human-first approach. He recognizes that people are more than just their roles—they have stories, challenges, and personal motivations that shape who they are.

Jordan Berstein
Jordan Berstein serves as Chief Investment Officer at Northwoods Partners. Prior to joining Northwoods, Jordan was an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s M&A group where he focused on executing large-cap sell-side and buy-side transactions across all industries. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Jordan spent four years at UBS in a variety of roles. Most recently, he worked on the Wealth Management Fixed Income Capital Markets Desk where he was responsible for providing Financial Advisors guidance on their corporate fixed income portfolios. Jordan received a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University where he majored in finance and an M.B.A. from New York University. He also holds his Series 7, 66 and 79 licenses.
