Case Study: Philadelphia
Fair Chance Initiative
In 2024, Envoy partnered with JPMorgan Chase and Philadelphia Works to launch the Philadelphia Fair Chance initiative, a peer learning and implementation series to help employers adopt and expand Fair Chance employment practices. Since that time, Envoy has led two cohorts totaling 14 employers and collectively employing 20,000 people in the region. ​

Last year, a collaborative of workforce funders led by the William Penn Foundation supported the expansion of the initiative lead four cohorts and training employer-facing staff at local workforce and membership organizations to guide their employer partners on Fair Chance practices.
