Associate, Fair Chance Employment

Start Date: May 2024

Location: Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; or Brooklyn, NY (remote or hybrid possible)

 

Summary

Envoy Advisory, LLC is seeking an Associate to work in our Fair Chance employment (FCE) practice to advance job opportunities and inclusive hiring strategies with employers and association partners. The Associate will take on a diverse range of projects, including research, content development, administrative support, and direct engagements with clients.

Responsibilities 

This new position will collaborate with and support the Envoy team in a variety of project-based and operational capacities. Primary responsibilities include: 

Project Coordination

  • Serve as point of contact and project coordinator for Fair Chance employment engagements

  • Collaborate with project team to support clients implementing Fair Chance practices

  • Prepare for and support meeting facilitation with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and client partners, including agenda setting and resource development

  • Extract key notes and takeaways from sessions to review with project team and clients

Program and Initiative Development 

  • Support the implementation of place-based Fair Chance employment initiatives, through research and outreach, presentation preparation, content development, and virtual and in-person event support

  • Interview prospective partners and select organizations to work closely with employers to train, refer, and support job candidates

  • Develop and refine resources, tools, and materials to support client engagements and other partners

  • Facilitate sustainable partnerships between employers and community organizations 

  • Collaborate with the FCE team to support all aspects of client engagements

Communications 

  • Support website updates and revisions

  • Write content for Envoy channels based on client engagement learnings

  • Expand Envoy’s reach through creative and diverse communication channels 

Administrative Support 

  • Support leadership team with scheduling, communications and follow-up

  • Manage Google Drive to ensure outstanding organization of projects, resources and content 

  • Represent Envoy team at learning sessions, webinars and convenings

  • Take notes and summarize key takeaways from internal and external calls/meetings as needed 

Special Projects 

  • Support high priority Envoy projects and as needed 

 

Qualifications 

  • Outstanding communications skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience and skill in research, writing, and analysis

  • Passion for criminal justice reform and belief in equity and opportunity

  • Flexibility and willingness to work across multiple projects, playing both leadership and supportive roles

  • Prior experience with program development, associations and/or project management, preferred

  • Advanced degree and/or 2+ years of work experience in a related field 

 

Compensation 

  • $70,000-$75,000 starting salary with opportunities for growth
