Dr. Khailiah Canada
Principal
Dr. Khailiah Canada is the proud Principal of Benjamin Franklin High School. Dr. Canada is in her third year at BFHS. Before coming to BFHS she was the Assistant Principal at Bartram for 2 years. She is dedicated to guiding students into a CTE pathway or college after graduation. Her philosophy is..."It's not how you start but, how you finish". She is currently working on her coaching certification to help ladies of color who suffer from imposter syndrome.

Dr. Jennifer Hale
Assistant Principal
Dr. Jennifer Hale is the 9th-grade Academy Assistant Principal at BFHS. Dr. Hale is in her first year at BFHS with over 30 years of experience in field of education within the School District of Philadelphia. Dr. Hale views education as a life-long process and expect to continue learning and growing with Benjamin Franklin this year and in the future. Dr. Hale believes that students are at the core of our work and can be anything they want to be if given the opportunity and encouragement.

Tina Thomas
Resilience Support Coordinator
Tina Thomas is the Resilience Support Coordinator at BFHS's Student and Family Engagement (SAFE) Center. Ms. Thomas is in her fourth year at BFHS. She is a certified Grief Educator, Yoga Teacher, and Social Emotional Learning Facilitator. Ms. Thomas is employed by Bethanna Christian Services as a PCIT Certified Therapist trained in TF-CBT. Using her background in trauma informed care, Ms. Thomas is able to support the BFHS school community to address barriers to academic success.
